Narayan Kavach with Havnam Om Namo bhagwate Vasudevay Namah Yagya

Narayan Kavach with Havnam Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah Yagya

Yagya Announcement: Narayan Kavach with Havnam Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah Yagya

We recently asked the pandits which yagya is good for “spring cleaning” and to prepare for fresh, new starts in their lives and to, “Clear out the old and prepare for the new”?

We’re offering the Narayan Kavach with Havnam Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah Yagya – the first time this yagya has been offered to our yagya group.

This yagya will run for 11 days with 11 pandits, starting on 14th March, 2026, until 24th March, 2026

The Narayan Kavach with Havnam Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah Yagya is a profound and deeply auspicious Vedic yagya dedicated to Lord Narayana, the supreme form of Lord Vishnu, the preserver and sustainer of all creation. “Kavach” means armour or protective shield, and the Narayan Kavach is one of the most revered and powerful protective stotrams in the entire Vedic tradition, drawn from the sacred Shrimad Bhagavatam. It was first imparted by the great sage Shukracharya and is said to envelop the devotee in a complete shield of divine protection, invoking Lord Narayana’s presence at every point of the body, every direction of space, and every moment of time. Performed from 14th March to 24th March 2026 by 11 classically trained Vedic pandits over 11 auspicious days, this yagya brings the full power of Lord Narayana’s grace to bear for all who participate as yajamanas.

Purpose and Spiritual Significance

The Narayan Kavach is performed to invoke Lord Narayana’s all-encompassing protection and to establish the divine name Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah as a living, resonant presence in the life of the yajamana. This twelve-syllable maha-mantra, the Dwadasakshari, is one of the most powerful Vaishnava mantras in the Vedic tradition, a direct invocation of Vasudeva, the all-pervading, the source of all existence. When woven together with the Narayan Kavach in the form of a yagya, the combined effect is said to be extraordinary, simultaneously invoking divine protection from every quarter while establishing the yajamana in a deep and sustained connection to Lord Narayana’s infinite grace.

Effects of the Yagya

The chanting of the kavach is said to neutralize negative energies, dissolve malefic influences arising from enemies, hostile forces, or adverse planetary conditions, and establish a pervasive atmosphere of clarity, protection, and divine order. The repetition of the sacred Havnam further deepens this effect, as each utterance of the divine name is understood in the Vedic tradition to purify the environment, the participants, and the subtle body of all who are connected to the yagya.

Benefits for the Yajamana

For the yajamana, the benefits of this yagya are said to be multidimensional and far-reaching. At the most immediate level, the Narayan Kavach is believed to establish a powerful protective shield around the yajamana, guarding against enemies visible and invisible, against accidents and misfortune, against the influence of negative forces of all kinds, and against adverse astrological conditions.

The Shrimad Bhagavatam, from which the Narayan Kavach is drawn, promises that one who is protected by this kavach moves through the world as though armored by Narayana himself. On a deeper level, the sustained chanting of Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah is said to dissolve karmic obstructions, open the path to prosperity and success, and cultivate an abiding inner peace that persists even amid the turbulence of outer circumstances. Spiritually, the yagya deepens the yajamana’s connection to the divine, fostering devotion, equanimity, and the gradual unfoldment of moksha, liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

This is the first time we’ve performed this yagya for our group. This 11-pandit, 11-day performance of the Narayan Kavach with Havnam Yagya represents a rare and precious opportunity to receive Lord Narayana’s complete protective grace and the transformative power of one of the Vedic tradition’s most sacred mantras. Whether you are seeking protection from challenges, the removal of obstacles in your life, greater material and spiritual prosperity, or simply wish to deepen your alignment with divine will, this yagya offers a direct and time-honored pathway to Narayana’s infinite compassion and strength.
