Sudarshana: Protection from hostile forces, removal of obstacles, steadiness when life feels blocked
Sudarshan Kavcham Yagya
Yagya Announcement: Sudarshan Kavcham Yagya
Sudarshan Kavcham Yagya June 15–25, 2026. 7 pandits, 11 days.
The Sudarshan Kavcham Yagya is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Sudarshana form, specifically the aspect associated with the Sudarshana Chakra, the discus weapon that cuts through obstacles and dispels negative forces. The kavacham, a class of Vedic protective text, invokes Sudarshana’s presence as a shield around the yajamana. This performance runs June 15–25, 2026, with 7 pandits over 11 days.
The Sudarshan Kavcham is chanted for protection, particularly against unseen threats, hostile energies, and situations where the yajamana needs a clear path forward. It is traditionally sought when circumstances feel blocked, threatening, or unstable, whether in health, relationships, or broader life conditions.

The text at the heart of this yagya is the Sudarshana Kavacham, drawn from the Vaishnava tradition. It names and invokes Sudarshana directly, asking the deity to stand guard at every direction and every threshold of the yajamana’s life. The chanting is traditionally said to establish a field of protection that works continuously, not only during the performance itself.
Traditionally, the yajamana can expect relief from obstacles, protection from hostile or destabilizing influences, and greater steadiness in daily life. Where there has been persistent difficulty or a sense of things working against the yajamana’s intentions, the Sudarshan Kavcham is understood to address that directly.
Pandit Jaikrishna has identified this as one of three yagyas suited to the period immediately ahead. Those familiar with his guidance will know what weight that carries.
