To invoke the grace of the Divine Mother in all Her forms
Devi Atharvashirsha Yagya
Yagya Announcement: Devi Atharvashirsha Yagya
Devi Atharvashirsha Yagya, 11 pandits, 11 days. 15-August to 25-August, 2026

This yagya was recently recommended by Jaikrishna, esteemed Vedic scholar and Jyotish pandit as the second of three supportive yagyas for the current period of time.
The Devi Atharvashirsha Yagya is a yagya centered on the recitation of the Devi Atharvashirsha (also called the Devi Upanishad), a short but profound scripture associated with the Atharva Veda. It proclaims that the Divine Mother (Devi) is none other than the Supreme Reality (Brahman).
Purpose of the Yagya
Traditionally, this yagya is performed to:
- Invoke the grace of the Divine Mother in all Her forms.
- Remove obstacles, fear, and negativity.
- Strengthen spiritual knowledge (jnana).
- Increase prosperity, harmony, and protection.
- Purify the home and the subtle environment.
- Support meditation and spiritual evolution.
Philosophical significance
One of the remarkable teachings of the Devi Atharvashirsha is that the Goddess declares:
- “I am Brahman.”
- “I am knowledge and ignorance.”
- “I am the Vedas and that which is beyond the Vedas.”
- “I alone pervade the entire universe.”
Rather than worshipping the Goddess as merely one deity among many, this text identifies Her with the ultimate, all-pervading reality itself.
This yagya is generally intended to:
- enliven the qualities of the Divine Mother in consciousness,
- strengthen protection and coherence in life,
- and support spiritual progress through Vedic sound and fire offerings.
