Devi Prapana Yagya: to remove suffering, obstacles and fear
Devi Prapana
Yagya Announcement: Devi Prapana
21-October to 10-November, 2026. 21 pandits, 21 days.
Pandit Jaikrishna, our esteemed Jyotish pandit, recommended this yagya earlier this week. He sees the period from now until 15 November as a dangerous one for the world.
“The world is falling into crisis,” he said. “Some disaster is looming. It could include or involve the Arab countries, China and the US.” His counsel for this period was refuge in the Divine Mother, Durga.

He recommended Devi Prapana Yagya as a large group yagya as the form that refuge should take. Yajamanas can join for their own protection, for their families, or as a contribution to the world through a difficult stretch.
Traditionally, Durga yagyas are associated with protection in times of danger and the removal of obstacles. On the inner side, they are held to bring fearlessness and steadiness, which is the purpose of taking refuge: to meet a hard period without being ruled by fear of it. A yagya’s strength grows with the number of pandits and the length of the performance, which is why this one is performed with 21 pandits over 21 days.
